Fo.re.s.t. Terminal is now equipped with a new lifting frame for woodpulp: unusually after 40 years Fo.re.s.t. has started to invest in facilities for discharging forest products, woodpulp first, thus widening its range of interest.
This decision was not anyway taken alternatively to employment of equipment in Genoa belonging to Culmv, our usual partners, but in accordance with them , because of their difficulties to replace the machinery waiting for certification.
The new lifting frame , with a capacity of 28 tons and automatic /pneumatic release, has been built by Metalcorde . It has already been successfully used on Spliethoff’ s and Wagenborg vessels and it will permit to comply with the increasing demands of the sector.
