Savona Terminals

Savona Terminals has been working as terminal operator since 1995 according to italian Law 84/94, when it took over the activities of Savona Port Authority (public company) as far as general cargoes, forest products and bulk stuffs were concerned.

As of 1st January 2014, Savona Terminal has incorporated her sister company MUST (Multi Use Steel Terminal), specialized in the handling of steel products (semi-manufactured and finished) and ferrrous bulk commodities.
Savona Terminals can play with three berths in two different areas of the port with a total length of 700 m. Two berths lie within the “Alti Fondali” area and span over 400m with a draught of 14,5 m; the third berth is 300m long and can accomodate vessels with drafts upto 9,0m.
Storage-wise the aggregate surface totals up approximately 34.000 sqm, while the covered space available reaches 31.000 sqm, of wich,10.000 sqm dedicated to bulk stuffs.. Savona Terminals also has a new multipurpose warehouse (4000 sqm) with concrete walls. Open and covered storage sites are railway connected.

Savona Terminals is equipped with: 4 Gottwald cranes (40/150 mts swl) and 2 Mantsinen cranes with ancillary equipments. Several fork-lift trucks, payloaders, traditional and dedusted hoppers and wide fleet of yard equipments are available.
In the course of years the company has improved its equipment, aiming to widen the variety of handled goods.

Thanks to this renewal and the investment on suitable storage solutions, the quality of handling achieved excellent standards, not forgetting the commitment of granting prompt berthing and quick dispatch to the vessels.
Savona Terminals has the ISO 9001:2008 quality certification and is implementing the procedures to acquire the OHSAS 18.001 health and safety management system specifications.

Campostano Anchor

Campostano Anchor is a company allowed to supply terminal operation services in compliance with article 16 of Law 84/94.

During time the company has widened its scope and tasks becoming also a support for financing as well an operational provider to implement the strategies of development of the Group. Today it holds stakes in a few companies and invests into material, handling equipment and storage facilities.

F.lli Piana

F.lli Piana provides port services. The company started operating in the ’50s and today it’s authorised to carry out all the ancillary port operations, in compliance with art.16B of Law 84/94.
F.lli Piana offers technical support to loading/unloading/reloading activities, as well as counting and checking of the goods.

The company also deals with lashing operations ashore and it provides the cleaning of wide surfaces inside and outside the port area, with the use of industrial sweepers and own staff.
